Hari Kirtan Kaufmann is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, visual artist and producer. He travels through Europe, North America, and Asia performing spiritual songs, Mantra meditation, and Kirtan at various yoga studios and uplifting, conscious festivals.

Born in Germany into a family following the Bhakti tradition and raised on the East Coast of the USA in a Vaishnava community, Hari Kirtan Kaufmann was trained from early years on in the practice of Bhakti Yoga – devotional glorification through congregational chanting “kirtan” being one of the main practices. Music has been part of his life since day one. His musical spectrum ranges from percussion instruments, piano, guitar, and vocals.

In his early 20s he toured for many years performing contemporary music on stages throughout Europe and South-East Asia. During this time, and within the next 10 years he was influenced by great blues, folk, and soul legends like BB King and Eric Clapton. Eric Bibb was one of his main inspirations to develop his soulful guitar fingerpicking style and spiritually uplifting songwriting.

Over the years he has been able to transfer all his experience on stage, in recording studios, and on tour back into his original source of solace, awakening a sincere desire to reconnect to the ultimate Origin with his soulful voice. In collaboration with his wife (Vrindavan Favors), sharing the wisdom of the Bhakti tradition through musical, storytelling dance performances, spoken word, spiritually uplifting songs and the devotional chanting of Kirtan and Mantras has become his main focus and passion. Additionally, he is an organizer and director of mantra festivals in Europe and India.
